Welcome to TaxyMatch
Our service allows you to share a car droven by a professional driver, with other passengers having a similar ride, reducing the price of the ride.
Our privacy policy below describes the type of data we collect through our mobile app. We also describe how we use personal data, with whom we share it, your rights, how you can contact us about our privacy policy.
General
We collect data from TaxyMatch users.
Type of personal data collected from passengers.
When registering, you enter your email and phone number. Once registered, you can fill your profile with additional data in order to share similar trips with others users to get the most out of our services.
These additional data are: First name, Last name, address, credit card number.
Knowing that bank details are not stored on our server for the sake of protecting your data and to prevent hacking. Bank data is transmitted encrypted to the company Stripe, where an account will be opened for you. Stripe is one of the world leaders in the dematerialized payment market, which itself is able to decrypt and read bank data. TaxyMatch does not have access to these numbers.
Direct debits and reimbursements via our application by credit card are thus completely secure, against third parties and against TaxyMatch which does not hold your banking information. Preferred postal addresses can be saved on our server in order to make the use of the application smoother. This address being chosen by the user, without necessarily being the home or the workplace.
Type of personal data collected from drivers
When you register, you fill in your name, first name, email and telephone number.
Geolocation: we collect precise or approximate location data from drivers' mobile device when the TaxyMatch Driver app is running in the foreground (the app is open and appears on the screen) or in the background (the application is open but does not appear on the screen).
This location data makes it possible to calculate the actual cost of the real trip compared to the cost estimated in advance, in order to adjust the driver's remuneration in the event of a difference. This location data also tells passengers the location of the driver for a better user experience, for more security to get into the right vehicle. This real-time data allows driver statuses to be changed automatically. These statuses indicating in particular the acceptance of the race by the driver, his imminent arrival at the meeting point, his actual arrival at the pick-up location, the passenger's boarding in the vehicle and his arrival at his destination. Real-time driver location also enables sharing of a current ride with immediate departure requests from other passengers with a similar ride, as part of the shared rides option.
Place of storage of your personal data
The personal data of our users is stored on a secure virtual server type VPS (Virtual Private Server) located in France and hosted by the French company OVH, 2 rue Kellermann - 59100 Roubaix - France, phone 1007, European leader cloud computing.
Use and sharing of personal data.
We can send you commercial or informative emails about the trips made, to come or directly linked to TaxyMatch. When we share your data with third-party companies, it is only for the purpose of improving the service and never of a commercial nature. No advertising can be sent to you from from third-party companies.
Right to rectify your personal data
If you do not wish to receive commercial or informative communication from us, you can unsubscribe by clicking on the unsubscribe link, located at the bottom of the commercial or informational email. It will be taken into account immediately and you will no longer receive this type of e-mail. If you wish to, delete, modify or simply know the information that we hold about you, you can email us at the following address: team@taxymatch.com, with your request.
Retention period of your personal data
The personal data that you have transmitted to us through our mobile application are kept throughout of using our service. If you wish to delete your data, you will no longer be able to use our mobile application and your personal data will be deleted immediately. You can do this by emailing us at team@taxymatch.com
If you delete your account, your data will be deleted 2 years later. Likewise, if you no longer use TaxyMatch's services but have not deleted your account, your personal data will be automatically deleted after a period of 2 years after the last use.
TaxyMatch and minors
The TaxyMatch application is not authorized for minors (under 18 in France) and any account opened by a minor (e) will be deleted, as soon as TaxyMatch learns of their age. We therefore ask minors to do not register on our app.
Updating our privacy policy
Whenever TaxyMatch deems it useful and to continue to respect the laws in force, we can proceed to a update of our privacy policy. This update will be communicated to you when you log in again to our mobile app.
Jurisdiction
TaxyMatch is located in Levallois-Perret, 6 boulevard Bineau, France. For any dispute that may arise with its users, whatever their nationality, the Tribunal de Grande Instance of Nanterre would have jurisdiction.
