Our engagements

Our sustainable commitments

Our business: develop sustainable Artificial Intelligence
  • Develop a system of algorithms to help:
  • economically cheaper mobility for customers
  • socially fairer for drivers
  • more environmentally responsible
Our service: create a societal service of public utility

Facilitate and organize fair mobility, through an on-demand carpooling service and the sharing of a professional driver.

Here are the issues we are responding to and for which we have developed TaxyMatch:
Respond to the difficulty of mobility at night
At night, public transport runs less and individual taxis / cabs are expensive.
The problems

Evening outings: among young people, 56% of fatal accidents occur at night1, due to driving, bike, scooter, with too much alcohol or under the influence". Night driving: Fatigue is also a cause of accidents2.

The solution

Using a shared TaxyMatch taxi / cab allows you to divide the price of the trip by 3 and limit road accidents, which makes safety accessible, especially for young people.

The problems

Walking home, increase the risk of assault, especially for women, 70% of rapes are committed at night3.

The solution

Using a shared TaxyMatch taxi / cab will increase urban safety and health.

Reduce CO2 pollution linked to road traffic
The pollution generated by Taxis and vtc is significant.
Problem 1

60% of taxis and 92% of vtc4 are diesel vehicles5 .

Solution 1

+ 80% of TaxyMatch taxi or vtc drivers have a hybrid or electric vehicle: up to 7 times reduction in pollution CO2 by optimizing the number of occupants per trip. Hybrid or electric vans were almost non-existent because their battery was not efficient enough, but 2021 is a game-changer and allows TaxyMatch salaried drivers to ride in 100% electric 8-seater vans.

  • Problem 2

A Parisian taxi spends more than half of its time driving "empty"6.

  • Solution 2

Thanks to TaxyMatch, unnecessary kms are avoided: Limitation of empty trips: customers are taken care of in the same vehicle because they are located in a similar geographic area that is consistent with the starting point or final destination. TaxyMatch has developed algorithms to optimize detours and limit journey times to collect the various passengers.

  • Problem 3

In taxis / cabs, there is often only one passenger.

  • Solution 3

Optimizing the use of TaxyMatch vehicles, by sharing with other travelers:

Using a shared TaxyMatch taxi / cab reduces the number of vehicles in circulation.
On average, it is not 3 vehicles for 3 people driving, but 1 vehicle for 3 people.
For 8-passenger vans (sometimes with luggage), it is 3 to 6 vehicles that do not drive.
Sharing similar journeys requires fewer vehicles to carry the same number of passengers: 1 vehicle with at least 4 passengers generates less pollution / passenger than buses.

  • Problem 4

13.5% of Ile-de-France trips are made to or from an airport7, which creates a pollution of 540 tonnes of CO2 / day for the Orly and CDG journeys.

  • Solution 4

TaxyMatch provides transportation from or to these airports, with pollution reduction potential, up to 340 tonnes of CO2 / day.

Participate in the resilience and sustainability of cities
Problem

According to ADEME, in traffic jams, consumption doubles and an average car can consume up to 16 l / 100 km8

Solution

The reduction in the number of vehicles by TaxyMatch makes it possible to make traffic more fluid, therefore consumption for all vehicles.

  • This solution has indirect consequences on raw material requirements:
By using less vehicles, there is a reduction in consumption and pollution linked to needs:
    in energy supply,
in raw materials for overhauls, repairs and material accidents on vehicles
    in spare parts and tires.

in road maintenance by reducing the use of the road network.

Improve the impact on the city's public health
Problem

Paris is the European capital with the most dramatic increase in air pollution. The nitrogen dioxide level has doubled compared to the period of confinement: + 118% in Paris, against 88% in Brussels or 73% in Milan9.

Solution
This alternative mode of transport by sharing generates less public health expenditure through enhanced security. More health safety, through better air quality in cities, thanks to the reduction:
pollution due to the optimization of vehicle filling,
traffic and traffic jams which make traffic more fluid.
More road safety thanks to the reduction in the number of accidents due to:
traffic reduction,
professional training for drivers,
the reduction of driving in a state of advanced fatigue or alcoholism, allowing a reduction in human and financial costs related to traffic accidents; these people and funds become available for other public service missions.
More urban night security:
Reduced risk of assault at night, which also generates fewer complaints in court and fewer of public health expenditure.
1. Promote the economic integration of drivers
Problem

In Paris, there are 52% of VTC for 48% of taxis10. The hourly income of a private driver is € 9.15 and a taxi € 11.01, of certain UBER11 drivers € 7 while the minimum wage is € 10.25. Operators benefit from a system of competition between drivers where the lowest bidder wins" the race, sometimes at a loss. No hourly compensation minimum is provided. This system drives the drivers into poverty.

Solution
An increase in the remuneration of drivers with well-paid trips, in particular with a minimum hourly rate.
Leave the choice of the races to be carried out freely at the disposal of the drivers by eliminating the possibilities of sanctioning the refusal of races.
A higher volume of shopping orders throughout the year, allowing a more constant turnover for the driver, also in smaller towns (50-100,000 inhabitants).

In low season as in high season, residents and travelers benefit from taxi / cab

2. Make private transport accessible, through reduced prices
  • Problem

Many people cannot afford private transport with a driver: 59% of French people never take the taxi/cab12, and 27% sometimes take it.

  • Solution
Offer a cheaper trip, by sharing the price and providing a useful and quality service:
ensure arrival on time by limiting detours
offer a quality service with baggage handling
be available in the morning and late hours when there is no longer public transport

allow to move during strikes, etc.

This solution has indirect consequences on social diversity
Creation of social links by meeting people to discuss.
In times of high demand (rain, cultural or sporting events, office trips): less waiting.

Available at night, even after a party or too much alcohol.

Providing solidarity transport for vulnerable groups
Problem

People in very precarious situations do not have access to transport.

Solution

Establish a universal trade system based on fair rules that benefit everyone: TaxyMatch reserves seats for people in difficulty (in partnership with recognized social associations of public utility) who benefit from free journeys, without needing a phone or means of payment.

Increase access to basic resources
Problem

When public transport does not work, economically disadvantaged people cannot get around

Solution
TaxyMatch creates social connection, response to isolation by developing partnerships with associations, companies, local authorities: certain seats are reserved for these people in difficulty during the day and at night.

Coverage of trips for hospital staff in clinics, hospitals and retirement homes during confinement.

Promote sustained economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all
Problem

Consequence of competition between taxis and between vtc themselves by platforms that take advantage of fares unregulated, some drivers find themselves in economic difficulties and must cease their activity despite the presence of debts.

Solution

Through fair compensation thanks to my pooling of trips, TaxyMatch allows drivers to maintain their activity and live with dignity.

This economical solution for passengers generates indirect consequences
More volume for the drivers who collect more customers, with an increased average turnover per trip.
More overnight stays for hotels, meals in restaurants, seats sold in cinemas, theaters, etc. in town centers: transfers outside of public transport opening hours become affordable and allow you to enjoy nights additional, without increasing its overall budget.

On a daily basis, night owls can afford more services or drinks (if alcoholic in moderation) thanks to a price of reduced trip get home and safely. This allows them to spend more time in the establishment even after the closing subways, for example, or allocating part of the usually higher transport budget to night establishments.
